Tucked away on the Foxboro/ Sharon line, Oak Hill Preschool is a small and welcoming school with a lot of charm and a whole lot of room to explore.
Behind our school are acres of natural beauty that have become an important part of the Oak Hill experience. Throughout the year, we venture outside to explore, observe, wonder and discover. We believe that some of the best learning happens when children have the freedom to follow their curiosity and experience the world around them.
Our preschool opened in 2005 and is part of the Oak Hill community, which has been welcoming children to it's summer day camp since 1991. While our preschool and summer camp operate independently during the summer, the connection gives Oak Hill a wonderful sense of history and place.
Most importantly, Oak Hill is a place where children are known. Our teachers take the time to understand each child as an individual, recognize their needs and interests, and provide the encouragement and care they need to grow.
The Oak Hill Way
🌿Explore
Children learn by experiencing the world around them. Our natural surroundings give them countless opportunities to wonder, investigate, and discover.
♥️Know
We take the time to know each child individually recognizing their personalities, interests, developmental needs, and ways of learning.
💛Care
A caring, nurturing environment is at the heart of Oak Hill. Children should feel safe, supported, valued and comfortable being themselves.
🌱Grow
We encourage children to become confident learners by giving them opportunities to try, question, create, problem-solve,and explore at their own pace.
Our backyard is a place to discover.
The acres surrounding Oak Hill gives children something that can't be recreated inside a classroom. It gives a chance to experience nature first hand.
We visit the property throughout the year, looking closely at the changing seasons, observing plants and animals, collecting treasures, asking questions, and following our curiosity.
Learning from Nature
We are inspired by the natural world and incorporate nature-based learning throughout our program. Our educators engage in professional development with Mass Audubon to continually deepen this approach.
Narure isn't a lesson we teach. It's a world we invite children to explore.
Growing Together With Families
We believe that caring for a child works best when teachers and parents are connected.
Regular communication helps us understand what is happening in your child's world and gives us the opportunity to share what we're seeing at school. We want families to feel informed, comfortable asking questions, and confident that we're working together.
